You could be slapped with a fine ranging from an amount of 12,000 to 60,000 Cedis or face prison term from 4 to 10 years or both if you don’t adhere to the lockdown orders.
Admist the sharp increase in the cases of coronavirus infections in the country, the President, as part of the measures in preventing the spread of the virus, on last Friday announced a partial lockdown in some parts of the country, including Accra and Kumasi.
The lockdown started to take effect on Monday and many Ghanaians do not seem to care about the stay at home directive from the President.
Well, if you are caught at the wrong side of the law, you could end up in jail.
So the message is simple, Stay Home, Stop the Spread and Stay Safe from the Ghana Police.
